Soppin’ Wet Cinema Presents: Trashterpiece Theater: TAMMY AND THE T-REX
Its a love story as old as time itself. Tammy (Denise Richards) and Michael (Paul Walker) are in love. When Michael is mauled by lions because of a trap set by Tammy’s ex-boyfriend, their love affair continues after Michael’s brain is transplanted into a robotic T-Rex. Yes -- that’s really what happens. TAMMY AND THE T-REX is easily the most inexplicable movie in the history of forever. It’s equal parts BEVERLY HILLS 90210, JURASSIC PARK, and crack-cocaine. From Denise Richards’ hysterics to the scene where the T-Rex disembowels a stoner at a party, this movie is exactly what life will be like after the world ends and we lose all hope for anything that isn’t TAMMY AND THE T-REX.

First, we have Bernando Bertolucci’s LAST TANGO IN PARIS (1972), which was much maligned at the time of its release, starring a post-Godfather Marlon Brando opposite Maria Schneider as strangers engaging in anonymous sexual encounters. Apparently butter is involved.

Next will be David Cronenberg’s infamous CRASH (1996), which explores the psycho-sexual line between pleasure and death. A group of adventure, kink-seeking friends find themselves seeking out horrific automobile accidents as a way to get their rocks off.
