David Bowie: A Visual Compendium
David Bowie: A Visual Compendium
A collection of music videos and performances, followed by a screening of Tony Scott's 1983 film, The Hunger

David Bowie left behind a legacy of music that changed the world forever. His contributions to the world of visual media left just as much of an impact. He created a vast assortment of indelible images that will forever be burned into our collective consciousness. The first part of our evening will be devoted to his music video work and live performance art. From his emergence on the scene and establishment of personas such as Ziggy Stardust all the way to his posthumous work on Black Star, we saw an artist who was always evolving while challenging his audience.

For the 2nd portion, we will explore his feature film work: first by presenting trailers and scenes from his entire career and finally showcasing his work in Tony Scott's 1983 horror/romance The Hunger. This may be one of his lesser known roles (especially to a younger audience), but it is just as important as his work in The Man Who Fell to Earth and Labyrinth.
